Brian McIntyre, coach of American Terence Crawford, commented on the decision of the International Boxing Federation (IBF) to strip the boxer of his welterweight title because of his refusal to conduct a defense against Jaron Ennis.
McIntyre told YouTube channel Fighthype:
It's kinda biased how they treat Terence, kinda f***ed up and s***. But, we accomplished what we needed to accomplish, we got that undisputed title. At 147 lbs he's been supreme, they can't take that away from him. They can take everything else, but they can't take that - that's history being made.
The 36-year-old Crawford had a bout against Errol Spence in July 2023 in Las Vegas, USA. In this confrontation Terence won by technical knockout in the ninth round. He has 40 wins (31 by knockout) and no losses on his record in professional boxing.
