Former UFC and WEC champion Anthony Pettis shared his expectations for his upcoming boxing bout with former Ultimate Fighting Championship champion Roy Jones Jr.
I wouldn’t say I’m afraid, but I’m definitely nervous. I don’t want to mess up. There’s a lot of new stuff. Standing eight count I’ve never had the opportunity to do that. If I get rocked I have the opportunity to stand back up and get my eight count and go back to fighting. In MMA that wasn’t an option. There’s little things like that I’m thinking about.

The fight between Anthony Pettis and Roy Jones will headline Gamebred Boxing night on April 2 in Milwaukee, USA.
Pettis had his last fight in August 2022 at the PFL 7 tournament against Stevie Ray. That bout went the full three rounds and ended with Ray winning by unanimous decision.
Jones last came to the ring against Mike Tyson in an exhibition fight. That fight lasted the whole distance and ended in a draw.
