WBA light-heavyweight champion Dmitry Bivol is considering a rematch with absolute world super middleweight champion Saul Álvarez in the fall of 2023.
"Dmitry's opponent in May may be Joshua Buatsi. With that said, a rematch with Álvarez may be scheduled for September or October," said Bivol's team.
The fight between Bivol and Alvarez took place in May, 2022. That time Dmitry won by unanimous decision of the judges.
31-year-old Bivol had his last fight on November 6 against Gilberto Ramirez. This fight went the whole distance and ended with the victory of the Russian boxer by unanimous decision of the judges. Bivol scored 21 wins (11 KOs) and no losses.
