A state of emergency has been declared in several western areas of Los Angeles due to the wildfires.
According to the fire department, two people have died as a result of one of the fires, tens of thousands of residents have been evacuated, and around 1,500 firefighters are involved in battling the blaze. However, strong storm winds are complicating firefighting efforts.
