COVID-19 has engulfed the Chicago Bulls campaign which was blossoming the first week into this month. Now, the Bulls will miss their next two games as most of the roster has been placed in the health and safety protocols. The team first lost Javonte Green to the protocols, then DeMar DeRozan, then Alex Caruso picked up a hamstring injury, and with several others out due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The Bulls were scoring in the 110-114 points range with the healthy roster.
This break can mean two things. First, perhaps the current losing streak can be snapped and perhaps a healthier roster will return after the action resume. Second, it also means that the team has lost its rhythm totally on both ends of the floor and the squad will have to regroup. COVID-19 has destroyed the sync of this Chicago team but perhaps, Zach LaVine and co. will be hungry once the festivities return. The pandemic has really killed the thrill of the game and we have to be in fear that any game can get cancelled any time. This reminds me of the last season which was even more frustrating but we may be heading towards similar territory again.
