Top Russian UFC lightweight Arman Tsarukyan, ranked #13 in the division, revealed his plans for 2022 in an exclusive interview with MMA.metaratings.ru. The fighter stated that he plans to fight in three fights in the coming year.
The best outcome for me is to conduct a fight now (in February - Meta MMA's comment), then in the summer, and by the end of the year. That's the best option. We are going to have 2-3 fights this year.
Arman Tsarukyan
We will remind you that Arman will fight against Joel Álvarez, who is a Spanish sportsman. The fight will take place at UFC Fight Night on February 26. Moreover, another Russian fighter Islam Makhachev will fight against Beneil Dariush during the main event.
Tsarukyan had his last fight against American Christos Giagos in September of 2021 at the UFC Fight Night 192 tournament. In this fight, the Russian fighter won the fight by TKO in the first round. He has 17 wins and two losses.
