Another great fight on the main card of the 3rd event will be held in the light heavyweight between Sam Alvey and Brendon Allen.

Bet on Brendon Allen vs. Sam Alvey

Brendon Allen is a great fighter. He has good striking and is striking hard. He has normal takedowns and a solid ground game. Before signing in the UFC, he was LFA champion. He debuted in the UFC against Kevin Holland and earned a second-round submission victory, a black belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He earned 4 more victories and suffered 2 defeats against Sean Strickland and Chris Curtis. He defeated excellent jitter Kyle Daukaus via unanimous decision, so I can say that his ground game is excellent.

Sam Alvey is one of the most positive fighters in the promotion, but he did not win in his 7 previous bouts. He has 6 defeats and 1 draw in the last 7 contests, and I have no idea why UFC keeps him. He was supposed to fight with Ian Heinisch, but Ian withdrew from the bout, and Allen replaced him. Because of short notice, they moved up to the light heavyweight division.

Allen will open this bout as a massive favorite with around 1.2. But, there still is a question of how good is Allen when he takes the fight on short notice. I think that Allen is motivated after suffering loss for the second time. He is only 26 years old, and he is already a very experienced and skilled fighter. It was hard to finish Sam in the good old days, but in his previous 6 losses, he was finished 3 times. I think that Allen will find the key to finish his rival. If this bout happened in middleweight, I would choose Alvey, but in the light heavyweight, I think Allen will earn the victory when he is not cutting lots of weight.
