The Western Conference Second Round brought some surprises. Both of the lower-ranked teams advanced ahead while the teams with the two best records in the league got ousted. The Golden State Warriors defeated the Memphis Grizzlies in Six Games to emerge as one of the title favorites while the Dallas Mavericks took care of the Phoenix Suns in Seven Games after erasing a nil-two deficit. In the first game of the Western Conference Finals, the Golden State Warriors will host the Dallas Mavericks. Can the Warriors start on a high?

Handicap: Bookmakers from 22bet believe the Warriors are the clear-cut favorites in this game with the odds of 1.43. Meanwhile, the Mavericks have the odds of 2.805 to nab this game, which means they have been given an outside chance in this game. The handicap of -5.5 brings the odds of 1.95. I believe the Warriors will have a resounding win in the opening game of the series. (Handicap 1 -6.5 for 2.09)
Player Props: Bookmakers at bet365 predict odds of 1.74 for Draymond Green going Over 6.5 Assists here(At least 7 Assists). Draymond breached that mark in half of the games during the last series, averaging 6 Assists Per Game. He is a tremendous playmaker who can do a lot of things. I believe he will go “Over” here. (Player Props: Player Assists: Draymond Green Over 6.5 Assists for 1.74)
Total: Bookmakers at 1xbet give the Total of Over 214.5 has the odds of 1.955. The Warriors found their offensive groove against the Grizzlies, scoring 110 or more in three of the total six games. The Mavs were no less spectacular than the Suns in the last series, going past 110 four times, twice on their home floor. I believe the series will be off to a low-scoring start. (Total Under 214.5 for 1.97)
Where to Watch Warriors vs Mavericks
This game is available on the NBA League Pass.
Warriors: They have guard galore
The Warriors are full of terrific offensive options and Klay Thompson’s 30+ points performance was cherry on top in Game Six versus the Grizzlies. Stephen Curry is no stranger to such huge nights and these two form perhaps the most intimidating shooting backcourt in the league. Although Jordan Poole had some weak offensive nights to end the Grizzlies series, he has scored 20+ regularly. However, we can’t overlook the play of Andrew Wiggins who was a live wire in the last series and played terrific brand of basketball, being highly active on both ends. Draymond Green is the defensive anchor, rebounder, playmaker, and has been a huge reason for the Warriors’ success. Kevon Looney grabbed 22 rebounds in the final game of the series against the Grizzlies but will he get that much playing time here?
Mavericks: On fire
The Mavericks made a mockery of the Suns in the final five games of the series and it was largely due to their defensive pressure that shut down Chris Paul, Devin Booker, and Mikal Bridges in the second half of the series. The Mavs became an elite defensive unit during the Regular Season and they know how to shut down the main players of the oppositions. The main factor for them making it so far is obviously Luka Doncic, who scored 33 or more in four of the games and showed that he deserved the MVP award. Jalen Brunson got his act together after a slow start and Spencer Dinwiddie’s 30 points night may spark some confidence for the bench. Dorian Finney-Smith, Reggie Bullock, and Maxi Kleber form a strong defensive connection and their offensive production will be a “X-Factor” here.
