Bankrupt satellite services provider TerreStar will accept the $1.38 million buyout offer from US satellite TV company Dish Networks after receiving no competing bids, according to a source. A deal still requires court approval.

Android activations pass 500,000 per day
Android devices are now being activated at the rate of over 500,000 per day, according to Android czar Andy Rubin. This is up 25% from a month ago, and activations are growing by 4.4% week on week.
Microsoft launches cloud-based Office 365
Microsoft has launched Office 365, its cloud-based version of the Office desktop software suite. The subscription fee ranges from $2 for little more than an email service, to $27 per month for the most full-featured offering.
China has over 700,000 3G base stations
China had 714,000 3G base stations as of the end of May, according to statistics from the communications ministry. China Unicom had the most base stations overall, but China Mobile's infrastructure now covers all the nation's cities.

Youku to offer pay-per-view movies from WB
Chinese video site Youku has reached a deal with Warner Bros to offer pay per view movies on Youku Premium, its paid content library.
