As the global number of IoT devices is forecast to rise from 27 billion to 73 billion in 2025, the understanding of how IoT is adopted is significant. And as with previous waves of technological and industrial advancement, there is interest in how IoT can be applied for consumer and commercial and government purposes.
To help companies get a head start, Singapore-based KaHa provides proprietary, customizable, end-to-end global smart wearable IoT solutions and is introducing at ConnecTechAsia 2018 a range of smart apparels with body- and wellness-monitoring features including maximum heart rate monitoring and notification, electrocardiography (ECG or EKG), RR-intervals (the period between successive heartbeats), and VO2 Max (maximal aerobic capacity).
The smart apparel range includes military uniform, children wear, sportswear (compression and sports bra) and casual wear. These are printed with Flexible Hybrid Electronics which captures and shares the body vitals with KaHa’s proprietary COVE IoT platform.
COVE utilizes inbuilt AI and Machine Learning algorithms to provide actionable suggestions for the user, creating a positive feedback loop and opening up opportunities in preventive healthcare, sports and wellness, and work condition optimization.
