Leading this year's list of nominees was Alcatel-Lucent, with nominations in 13 categories. Huawei Technologies was second, nominated in 12 categories, followed by Ericsson with 10 and Nokia Siemens Networks with nine.

ZTE, a winner in two categories last year, had seven nominations while NEC was nominated in five categories. Other equipment suppliers nominated in more than one category were IBM, Microsoft, Amdocs, Juniper Networks, ECI Telecom, Oracle, HP, Ciena and SAP.

In additional to the Readers' Choice Awards, Telecom Asia will announce Special Editor Recognition Awards in three categories at the ceremony.
