Tata Teleservices Maharashtra (TTML) has launched two new gateway services, one marketed at small to medium businesses and the other at the home.
Both solutions are powered by Cisco's networking products and based on the existing Tata Photon+ platform.
The Tata Photon+ Business Gateway, aimed at the SME segment, and the Tata Photon+ Home Gateway, tailored for consumers, both provide LAN, Wi-Fi and WAN support.
They support wireless VPNs, and remote access control, and have security features like Wi-Fi encryption and a built-in firewall.
Both also include the ability to restrict internet access to certain times of day, and the home product also includes parental control features.
“[Tata] recognize the importance of convergence of technologies and the need to cater to a multi-computer environment,” Tata senior vice president Raja Srinivas said.
