TM names acting group CEO, as Bazlan Osman resigns

Telekom Malaysia (TM) has appointed chief operation officer Imri Mokhtar to the role of acting group chief executive officer, following the resignation of Datuk Bazlan Osman.

Bazlan Osman took the leading role after the resignation of the previous CEO, Dato Sri Mohammed Shazalli Ramly, in June this year. He has also given notice of his resignation as executive director which will take effect on February 28, 2019.

Imri has over 20 years of experience in business strategy and operations from the communications and media industry. He first started his career with TM in 1996 and re-joined the Malaysian telco in 2005.

He had served in various positions in TM including as VP, program and performance management office and EVP, consumer.

TM Group chairman Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Sulaiman Mahbob said Imri is a TM home-grown talent with a strong background in strategy and business operations, and his appointment “is a natural progression of the responsibilities he is presently carrying.”

“His main role, together with the leadership bench, will be to effectively execute the strategic initiatives planned to assist TM in navigating through the current challenges and position us in a more resilient, competitive and sustainable footing,” he added.

Citrix names Leanne Taylor regional VP

Citrix has appointed Leanne Taylor as area vice president of the Asia region to lead the company’s ASEAN and Korean sales and services business. She reports to Colin Brookes, senior vice president of sales and services for Asia Pacific and Japan.

Taylor brings to the table two decades of experience in sales and business leadership, strategy, operations, customer success and channel management.

Taylor joins Citrix from SAP, where she most recently served as vice president for SAP Industries and Strategic Customer Program Australia and New Zealand.
