Telenor Myanmar has introduced new pre-paid top up plans offering 1GB of data for just 999 kyats ($0.65), to cater to the market's growing data usage.
The operator has also introduced a 5GB credit pack for 4,999 kyats, with both new plans valid for 30 days.
Announcing the new Power Load plans, Telenor Myanmar said around 80% of its customers are smartphone users, with citizens of the country using close to five hours of mobile data per day, a more than doubling over the last two years.
“Telenor Myanmar has always been trying the best to quench the thirst of our customers. With innovated yet simple and affordable products and services, we make sure our customers fully benefited from being connected,” Telenor Myanmar CEO Sharad Mehrotra said.
“Now our customers can maximize their embrace to the virtual world on their smart phones and save their pockets at the same time.”
Since launching services across Myanmar in September 2014, Telenor has expanded its network in the nation to more that 8,000 sites. The company has more than 19 million customers across all states, regions and territories of Myanmar.
