Telenor Myanmar has expanded its STAR loyalty program to offer discounts from more than 60 different brands.
The operator plans to further extend the program by securing partnerships with more than 100 brands by the end of the first quarter.
Telenor Myanmar's STAR loyalty program is automatically extended to customers who have been subscribed to its services for at least six months and meet certain minimum usage thresholds.
The program has three tiers – silver, gold and platinum – based on length of stay and average spending over the prior three months.
Customers reaching STAR status are offered services including extra credit, prioritized service, compensation for call drops and a chance to convert to the STAR post-paid plan.
According to the company, more than 2 million of the operator's customers are involved in the STAR program.
The new discounts cover categories including online shopping, travel, beauty products, cinemas, airlines, apparel, lifestyle, education and restaurants.
“Being committed to connecting our customers to what matters most for their daily lives, we will expand our STAR program by partnering with more numbers of famous brands in near future,” Telenor Myanmar CMO Amaresh Kumar said.
