Stephen Tsang is now chief revenue officer for NTT Com Asia
NTT Communications has named Stephen Tsang (pictured) as the new chief revenue officer of NTT Com Asia, the company's East Asia Headquarters in Hong Kong
In his new role, Tsang will oversee sales and technology solution strategies, lead the company to acquire new opportunities, and drive the development of end-to-end ICT solutions.
Tsang is an accomplished management professional with over 25 years of experience in Asia, Europe and US, and deep industry knowledge across product, sales and solutions, NTT Com said.
Prior to joining NTT Com Asia, Tsang was the head of managed network services and enterprise solution architects at Telstra. Most recently he was head of key accounts and FSI.
Cisco appoints Irving Tan to drive digital transformation
Cisco has appointed Irving Tan, senior vice president of Asia Pacific and Japan, to a new role as SVP for operations and digital at the company.
In his new role, Tan will oversee digital transformation initiatives in partnership with sales, engineering and other departments of the company, Cisco said.
Cisco also announced that Rebecca Jacoby, SVP of operations, will retire from the company by January 27 after a 22- year career at the networking giant. She will continue on as an advisor until end of May.
Chris Dedicoat will also step down as executive VP of worldwide sales and field operations on July 28. He will remain with the company as a senior adviser to chairman and CEO Chuck Robbins.
Cristiano R. Amon promoted to Qualcomm president
Qualcomm has named Cristiano R. Amon president of the company.
Qualcomm said Amon, currently executive vice president of Qualcomm Technologies, and president of QCT, will start his new role January 4.
In his new role, Amon will “formulate and drive key strategies” for growing the company in both Qualcomm’s core businesses, as well as new business opportunities. He will also continue to lead the QCT business, reporting to CEO Steve Mollenkopf.
“Cristiano’s unique mix of business, engineering and operational skills and experience make him ideally suited to continue driving Qualcomm’s technology and leadership positions across mobile, IoT, automotive, edge computing and networking – and lead the transition to 5G,” said Mollenkopf.
Amon replaces Derek Aberle, who announced plans to leave his post as president in August 2017.
Amon joined Qualcomm in 1995 as an engineer and has subsequently held numerous business and technical leadership roles.
Prior to starting at Qualcomm, he served as the chief technical officer of Vésper, a wireless operator in Brazil, and held positions at NEC, Ericsson and Velocom.
