Ericsson HR head steps down as the Swedish vendor relocates the role to Stockholm

Ericsson announced it will move the position as chief HR officer to Stockholm, Sweden, to be close to the company CEO and the majority of the executive leadership team.

As a result, Bina Chaurasia, based in California, will resign from her role as senior vice president and chief HR officer, effective November 15, 2016, after serving the company for 6 years.

Maj-Britt Arfert will be acting chief HR officer from November 15 until the company finds a successor, Ericsson said in the statement.

Commenting on Chaurasia’s departure, Jan Frykhammar, CEO and president of Ericsson, said: "Bina has been instrumental in reshaping Ericsson's Human Resource function and developing Ericsson's People Strategy during a period of massive business transformation. With deep understanding of the company's overall goals and culture, Bina has been a highly appreciated member of our leadership team."

Barbara Chiu, Argon Ho assume new roles at Cisco

Cisco announced Friday Barbara Chiu has been promoted to managing director, Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan, while Argon Ho takes on the role of general manager, Hong Kong and Macau. The two appointments took effect from September 30.

In her new role, Chiu is responsible for piloting the business strategy and field sales operations in Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan. She joined Cisco in 2006 as head of enterprise and financial services, and assumed the role of GM of Cisco Hong Kong and Macau in 2008.

As the new GM of Hong Kong and Macau, Ho is responsible for overseeing Cisco’s strategy and sales operations for business sectors in the region. He joined Cisco in 1998 with over 20 years of experience in the IT industry, and has held various leadership positions with Cisco in different sales areas.
