Singtel exec Eileen Tan takes helm at Bridge Alliance
Bridge Alliance, the mobile alliance comprising 36 cellcos with a combined customer base of over 700 million in Asia, Middle East and Africa, has appointed Eileen Tan as its new chief executive officer, effective September 1.
Tan succeeds Alessandro Adriani, whose leadership saw Bridge Alliance expand from 11 to 36 telecom operator members over the past three years.
In her new role, Tan will be responsible for strengthening the business as the mobile alliance continues to grow regionally and globally.
With the increasing demand for M2M, enterprise mobility and cost effective roaming services, she will play a key role in developing innovative solutions to meet the needs of customers in the alliance footprint, the alliance said.
Tan joins Bridge Alliance from Singtel, where she has been working for 15 years and was most recently director of Business Planning, Strategy and Alliance Partnerships at Singtel’s International Group.
“Eileen is a proven leader with strategic business vision and the ability to spearhead various mobility services needed for the alliance. We believe that her strengths and understanding of the telco industry will help Bridge Alliance achieve new growth,” said Bridge Alliance chairman Mark Chong.
