Subex Azure has opened an office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, which will serve as the company's regional headquarters for the Middle East and Africa region. It will be based within the DubaiInternetCity.
According to the company, this is the result of the award of a contract to provide revenue assurance and fraud management to a leading mobile operator in the Middle East. Subex Azure has likewise recently announced fraud management and interconnect contracts, respectively, with Safaricom, the Kenyan mobile services provider, and Omantel, the Oman telco. The company now has 21 customers in the Middle East and Africa.
