StarHub has teamed up with several technology partners to provide government public cloud services over ‘Argonar,’ its Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) platform.
The strategic partnership has been formed to meet the requirements for a cloud services tender from the Infocomm Development Authority of Singapore (IDA).
The 'Argonar' IaaS platform is built with Huawei's cloud computing infrastructure, which is an Intel-based Cloud Builders Reference Architecture.
StarHub also partners with Symantec and Trend Micro Singapore, to provide a range of management, technology and security solutions for government agencies that utilize its ‘Argonar’ platform. The solutions are for non-sensitive computing workloads that do not need to reside within the government's G-Cloud environment.
The internet traffic on StarHub’s IaaS infrastructure is protected by StarHub Clean Pipe Anti-DDos service that is monitored at its own Network Operations Centre, in addition to the Cyber Watch Centre services managed by e-Cop to detect any malicious activity.
