SK Telecom has forged an alliance with network performance technology provider Accedian to launch global network management and consulting services.
As part of the alliance, SK Telecom will use Accedian's offerings, the operator's T-Wire Area Verification Equipment (T-WAVE) network quality monitoring system and its own operational experience to help operators improve network efficiency and optimize subscriber QoE.
SK Telecom recently deployed Accedian products across its nationwide LTE network in Korea.
The operator has integrated Accedian's standards-based instrumentation was incorporated into an SDN network to allow for the use of QoE metrics and big data analytics to optimize the user experience in real-time.
“Accedian is an important partner in helping SK Telecom deliver the best possible QoE to all of our subscribers, every minute of every day,” SK Telecom senior vice president for network business supporting group Sang-Soo Shim said.

We will help to bring fully instrumented, assured user experience based on the foundational visibility Accedian solutions brings to our own network.”
