NTT Com has begun offering US and Europe-based platforms for Arcstar UCaaS, its global cloud-based unified communications service for enterprises.
With platforms now operating in three regions, including Japan, Arcstar UCaaS’s robust cloud-based infrastructure assures low-latency, highly redundant communication and enables customers to better unify their global communication infrastructure, rather than operate independent systems in each region, for more efficient management of corporate resources.
Arcstar UCaaS integrates VoIP phones, web and audio conferencing, instant messaging, presence and other collaboration tools in the cloud, providing optimal methods of communication for use anytime, anywhere in accordance with the needs and conditions of collaborators. The service strengthens intra-company communications with improved operational efficiency, more flexible work-styles and reduced cost of ownership for fixed assets.
The new infrastructure in Europe and the US assures low-latency transmission. Routing communications from Europe or the U.S. through equipment in Japan can experience delays of several seconds depending on the line. With communications equipment now based in these two regions, latency has been drastically reduced for the increased convenience of local Arcstar UCaaS customers.
An increasing focus on the protection of personal information has led to strengthened regulations under the EU Data Protection Directive, including restrictions on retaining personal information in communications facilities located in other regions. Arcstar UCaaS allows personal information to be stored locally to satisfy these requirements.
Customers can utilize Arcstar UCaaS to construct comprehensive global communications infrastructure in the US or Europe for strong business continuity planning and disaster-recovery readiness.
