Ixia announced that NoviFlow has deployed IxNetwork to validate the company’s designs and accelerate the delivery of its products.
Based in Montréal, NoviFlow supports network carriers, hyperscale data center operators, and enterprises seeking greater network control and flexibility, network scalability, and the capacity to handle extremely large numbers of flows, while maintaining maximum network performance.
Ixia said to meet these requirements, NoviFlow introduced the NoviSwitch, an advanced commercial-grade OpenFlow switching solution that offers up to 240 Gbps of true wire-speed performance.
IxNetwork emulates SDN switches, hosts, and applications to test SDN controllers, and emulates controllers and hosts to test SDN switches. With comprehensive coverage in SDN technology, IxNetwork is designed to test SDN implementations from an OpenFlow underlay to a variety of overlay network virtualizations, including virtual extensible local area network (VXLAN), Ethernet virtual private network (EVPN-VXLAN), and Segment Routing.
IxNetwork creates real world conditions replicating hyperscale data centers, and is capable of generating multiple terabytes of data, analyzing up to four million traffic flows simultaneously.
