Nokia has sold off yet another business unit – this time a company it’s barely owned for three months.

The firm has divested geographic intelligence firm MetaCarta to Qbase Holdings, but retained its location technology to use in its local search services, it announced Monday.

Nokia bought MetaCarta, a privately-held US firm which mostly deals with government, oil and gas customers, in early April.

It is the second Nokia business to be offloaded in as many weeks, coming hot on the heels of the sale of its modem business to Renesas for $200 million.
