Nokia Networks has clinched a deal to acquire a network implementation services provider, while Nokia's HERE mapping service company has acquired a predictive analytics vendor.

Nokia announced an agreement to buy SAC Wireless, which provides infrastructure and deployment solutions in the US.

The deal, which is expected to close in the third quarter, will be used to augment Nokia's network implementation portfolio.

Nokia Networks EVP for North America Ricky Corker said the transaction will help the vendor increase its market share in the segment.

SAC Wireless services include Wireless Engine Room - a process focused on managing site development, architectural and engineering, regulatory and compliance activities for national network programs - and a turnkey program management service for large network deployments.

In a separate announcement, Nokia Networks said it has acquired a solution for advanced 3D geolocation capabilities from NICE systems to enhance its network planning and optimization services.

HERE has meanwhile completed the acquisition of predictive analytics vendor Medio Systems, as part of a push to deliver more personalized mapping experiences.

The acquisition nets Nokia a team of around 60 employees, who will be put to work on integrating predictive analytics technology into the HERE platform.
