Netmagic, a subsidiary of Japan’s NTT Communications, has opened its 9th date center in Mumbai, which it claims is the city’s largest.

The 27,000-square meter facility, touted as one of the largest data centers in India, has a capacity to host over 2,700 racks and access to 20MW of power and cooling services.

The data center, which is already operational with some marquee anchored customers on-board, will deliver Netmagic's entire suite of services including managed co-location, dedicated hosting, cloud computing, IT infrastructure monitoring and management, managed security, disaster recovery and managed app hosting.

Netmagic has launched the facility under its Nexcenter brand of data centers and guarantees a 99.99% availability of its services at all times.

The company has also introduced some new additions to its product portfolio namely Virtual Load Balancer as a Service, Virtual Private Cloud and Next-Gen Backup and Archival Services. It boasts of a refined network fabric, based on Spine Leaf Architecture.

“Businesses today require a robust, reliable and resilient IT Infrastructure backbone, that is above all easily scalable and responsive. With our new data center, the city has a promising state of the art destination for its IT Infrastructure requirements, and one that can abundantly address concerns of scalability, high availability and resilience in performance of hosted assets with an unprecedented ease,” Netmagic MD and CEO Sharad Sanghi commented.
