Mediatek has launched its latest chipset at Mobile World Congress with a promise of world-mode connectivity as well as modern computing power.
The MT6753 comes with CDMA2000 1x EVDO Rev A legacy support as well as TD-SCDMA for full support in the Americas and China. On the other end, it supports Release 9 Cat 4 LTE (150 MBPS down, 50 up) and supports bands 1 to 41.
The CPU side of the System-on-chip features eight 1.5GHz ARM Cortex-A53 64-bit processors with support for the new low-power H265 video recording codec.
The new mid-market chip is sampling now and should be in products by Q2.
