Two European network monitoring specialists are teaming up in a bid to dominate the market for Internet Protocol Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) and LTE technologies.
France-headquartered network monitoring firm Astellia is partnering with Germany-based voice specialist Voipfuture to offer quality-of-service and -efficiency monitoring of voice on IP-based 3G and 4G networks.
Emmanuel Audousset, executive vice president of business development at Astellia, says the collaboration strengthens his firm’s core VoIP and VoLTE solutions, and will benefit mobile operators by offering access to Voipfuture’s “RTP and MOS monitoring technology.”
Voipfuture chief Jan Bastian notes the move positions both firms to cash in on “strong demand of mobile operators for VoIP quality monitoring.”
