Maxis appoints former Foxtel chairman Robert Nason as interim CEO
Malaysian telecoms operator Maxis has appointed Robert Nason (pictured) as executive director and interim chief executive officer effective April 1, 2018.
Maxis announced late last year that CEO Morten Lundal would be leaving the company on March 31, following the expiry of his contract early next year, after nearly five years of service at the company.
Nason will remain in the interim CEO role until the new CEO is appointed, the operator said in a statement.
Nason was appointed to Maxis board in 2016. He is also the chairman of the audit committee and the business and IT transformation committee.
With this appointment, Nason relinquished his role as chairman and member of the audit committee and stepped down as chairman of the business and IT transformation committee but continues as its member. All these changes took effect on March 2.
Prior to taking up this new role at Maxis, Nason was chairman and director of Foxtel from 2012 to 2017.
Prasert Bunsumpun to chair Thaicom
Thaicom has appointed Prasert Bunsumpun as chairman of the company's board, succeeding Paron Israsena, who resigned from the position.
Bunsumpun, who is currently chairman of Thaicom's executive committee, is a former chief executive officer and president of PTT.
Thaicom has appointed Anek Pana-apichon as chairman of the executive committee in place of Bunsumpun.
All the new appointments will take effect from March 24, the Thai satellite operator said in a company statement.
