The last ten years saw the rise of fixed broadband internet connections. In the next ten years, we look forward to the proliferation of wireless broadband internet into all aspects of our lives. We predict 4G mobile broadband internet capabilities will be priced low enough for mass-market adoption, as well as open to enable rich and broad applications and services supported by a wide range of devices.
The ability to be online anytime, from anywhere, will change the way we live, do business and interact with technology, as well as each other. Examples could include significant enhancements to health and education services. We believe this vision is closer to becoming a reality than one may think, with deployments of Wimax networks around the world beginning deliver key elements of this vision today.
