International IT solutions and managed services provider Logicalis and Metrodata in Indonesia have jointly agreed to acquire Packet Systems Indonesia (PSI).
PSI is a Cisco gold partner specializing in data center, collaboration, service provider and enterprise networking as well as information security solutions.
PSI will be integrated with the existing Indonesian operation, Logicalis Metrodata Indonesia (LMI) -- a joint venture between Logicalis and Metrodata. Logicalis will be the largest shareholder of this newly formed company.
The acquisition provides an opportunity for Logicalis to leverage PSI's telco skills and experience in other Logicalis locations across the region, as well as bring its own portfolio of digital solutions and services to existing and new market segments, such as Internet of Things, software defined technologies and data analytics.
Logicalis has also established a managed security services practice in the Asia-Pacific region, based out of Singapore, which will bring new service offerings to customers in Indonesia. The combined company brings Logicalis’ strong track record in the region, technical capability and expanded vertical expertise to PSI.
“This acquisition is strategically important for Logicalis to significantly bolster its operation in the Asia Pacific region and specifically, in Indonesia,” Logicalis CEO Mark Rogers said.
“PSI is one of the largest Cisco partners in Indonesia, and there is a close synergy between PSI and LMI, bringing increased scale and customer relationships, through sharing Logicalis’ methodology and experience with PSI’s strong management team and extensive customer reach.”
