Global Industry Leaders at CommunicAsia2013 and EnterpriseIT2013
As the premier launch pad that consistently attracts the world’s leading companies to showcase the latest game-changing technologies, two international leaders in their respective areas of expertise, Akamai Technologies and Technicolor, provided, at a media briefing today, a preview of their cutting-edge technologies that will be showcased at CommunicAsia2013 and EnterpriseIT2013.

Mr. Randall Wood, Head of Digital Media (ASEAN), Akamai Technologies, the leading cloud platform for enterprises, demonstrated Akamai’s hyperconnected living second-screen concept demo which showcases an advanced multi-screen technology. Akamai’s technology helps enterprises accelerate innovation in the hyperconnected world, focusing on the four big mega trends disrupting technology, namely mobile, cloud, media and security.

"Smart companies are leveraging the development of hyperconnectivity to improve efficiency and grow new businesses. Cloud services and CDN technologies provided by Akamai are already playing a critical role in enabling companies to deliver first-class online experiences via optimized networks, which manage the flood of traffic these generate. Akamai is delighted to participate in CommunicAsia2013. We see the event as a great opportunity to connect with partners and to showcase Akamai innovations in the four major trends in networking – mobile, cloud, media and security,” says Dr. Alex Caro, Chief Technology Officer and VP Services, Asia Pacific and Japan, Akamai.

Mr. Georges Laplanche, Senior Vice-President Connected Home APAC from Technicolor, a worldwide technology leader in the media and entertainment sector, showcased intelligent home networks created by interconnecting devices and applications across various brands to deliver smart home, entertainment, communication and personal media services, facilitated by Technicolor’s Qeo M2M solution.

Mr. Laplanche comments, “As the need for M2M solutions increases in a fast-growing connected world, platforms like CommunicAsia and EnterpriseIT are essential to facilitate knowledge sharing, best practices and the latest solutions in the field. Today, users want to enjoy their favorite applications and services on all devices. Our new Qeo solution enables devices to speak the same language, be interconnected with each other, and create totally new use cases for the Connected Life and the ‘Internet of things’.”
