(Kyodo News via NewsEdge) Softbank said it has agreed with China Mobile and Vodafone Group Plc to set up a joint venture to promote the development of common software for the handsets of the Japanese, Chinese and British mobile phone operators.
The joint venture, to be set up around summer, will be roughly equally funded by the three companies, Softbank officials said.
