PRESS ANNOUNCEMENT

Singapore, 20 June 2011 – At CommunicAsia’s German pavilion, KEYMILE will present its innovations that combine flexibility and future-proof solutions with quality “Made in Germany”. On show will be KEYMILE’s multi-service access platform MileGate that supplies broadband services via optical fibre and DSL.

KEYMILE is one of the leading manufacturers of Next-Generation data transmission systems. In the German Pavilion, hall 2, stand 1K3-07, it will present its new products and solutions for opera¬tors of telecommunications networks. Operators will benefit from the higher capacity that the multi-service access platform MileGate now offers. Each slot is connected with 10 Gbps Ethernet. This 10 Gbps Ethernet systems architecture constantly provides high levels of bandwidth to all sub¬scribers connected. Therefore, MileGate is prepared for future demands, such as the transmission of high-resolution 3D television, or usage as a large-volume FTTH/VDSL2 access point.

The new 64-port MileGate cards for voice services and broadband Internet access are also on show in Singapore. Greater port density means savings for network operators. Per MileGate subrack they can supply significantly more subscribers with traditional telephony and broadband Triple Play services at the same time. The new systems architecture, combined with the high port density of the xDSL and optical Ethernet cards, makes MileGate a future-proof solution for ex¬panding broadband, for example as a technical base of an open-access offering.

KEYMILE will also present new functions for its access and transmission platform MileGate for usage in dedicated networks belonging to railways, public authorities, transport and utility companies. In addition to the tried-and-tested Ethernet functions, MileGate can now offer new cards for comprehensive TDM data and voice services. A key feature of MileGate is the hybrid Ethernet/TDM backplane. Due to the modular switching matrix, operators of business networks can flexibly extend MileGate with a variety of different Ethernet cards (optical or electrical interfaces).

“Where telecommunications are concerned, the quality of the products and their reliability are vital. Because no network operator can afford failures”, comments Björn Claassen, COO at KEYMILE in Hanover, Germany. “German-manufactured, high quality and flexible products ensure KEYMILE’s competitive edge”.
