Japan’s KDDI has contracted network traffic intelligence company Kentik to provide a system to support the delivery of network traffic intelligence for faster operational decision making.
Kentik has deployed its Kentik Detect SaaS-based real-time big data network operations and planning platform for the operator.
KDDI plans to use the system to generate rich network data for effective network planning. Kentik Detect supports the visualization of complex data, allowing network engineers to easily pivot between visualizations to achieve real-time, multi-dimensional analyses of their networks.
“At KDDI, we strive to be continuously innovative across our entire organization. However, for our network engineers, that ability was previously held back by the amount of time the team was spending on tracking down answers about our network. Given the sheer scale and complexity of our network and the amount of data it generates, network planning analyses often took days to compile,” KDDI general manager of IP networks KDDI Toru Maruta said.
"Using Kentik Detect, our team can now access a rich dataset that offers valuable insights about our network within seconds. Kentik gives us the answers we need to build a better network."
