Intelsat gets new APAC VP

Intelsat has appointed Terry Bleakley as regional vice president for Asia-Pacific sales,

Bleakley will lead Intelsat’s sales and marketing activities for the region. He will assume the new role on November 15 and manage the team from Singapore.

Prior to accepting this new role, Bleakley was vice president of commercial operations for another satellite operator serving the region.

Before his most recent assignment, he served more than five years with Intelsat in various sales and sales management positions in the Asia-Pacific region.

Separately, Intelsat has appointed David Ball as managing director of Intelsat Broadband, the company’s subsidiary based in Sydney, Australia.

Ball will focus on key strategic initiatives such as the company's commitment to provide broadband connectivity solutions and infrastructure services to Australia.

He will also oversee specific business development activities in Asia-Pacific and support Intelsat General's activities in obtaining and managing new projects like the recently announced UHF agreement with the Australian Defence Force.
