Huawei has held its Day0 Forum in Barcelona ahead of this week's Mobile World Congress, showcasing innovations including 4K streaming on a Huawei 5G foldable smartphone.
The demonstration used Vodafone Spain's 5G live network, and was designed to showcase the Gigabit-level speeds that will be enabled by 5G.
At the event, Huawei executives announced plans to open three 5G open labs in Asia, Europe and the Middle East that will be designed to serve as a platform for showcasing 5G and CloudX services
Huawei's 5G foldable smartphone, the Huawei Mate X, uses a flexible OLED panel with a Falcon Wing mechanical hinge.
The company also unveiled its 5G CPE Pro home router, the Huawei MateBook 13 and MateBook 14 notebooks and an updated MateBook X Pro laptop.
“With the advent of the all-scenario era, consumers are looking forward to revolutionary experiences. We will spare no effort to create world-leading 5G unlike anything before,” Huawei CBG CEO Richard Yu said.
