Huawei’s first Android-powered Pulse smart phone has been launched globally by T-Mobile.

The handset is the first of several customized smartphones that Huawei will release.

The Pulse will be commercially available in Q4 2009 through T-Mobile’s network in eight European markets including Germany, UK, Croatia, Austria, Netherlands and the Czech Republic.

T-Mobile Germany will start selling the new phone in October from €4.95 ($7.08) with a Combi Flat S rate and will mark the third Android smartphone in the operator's portfolio.

The handset provides direct access to the T-Mobile MyCommunity and media center services as well as direct links to the Google suite of services.

The HSPA-enabled handset retails for an unsubsidized price of €250.

T-Mobile has also announced the launch of the BlackBerry Curve 8520 smartphone from October and it will be available from €4.95 on 24-month contracts with selected plans.
