TeliaSonera’s 4G services go live in Swedish city
TeliaSonera subsidiary Telia has deployed Nokia Siemens Networks’ radio equipment to deliver LTE services in Gothenburg, Sweden’s second-largest city. Telia said its subscribers are now enjoying peak rates of up to 100Mbps and multiple high-end services such as streaming TV and data downloads.
Uzbekistan firm deploys 4G network with ZTE tech
ZTE said a 4G (LTE) network built for Uzbekistan operator UCell has been deployed with ZTE's SDR technology and Uni-RAN solution. The network is able to achieve a downloading peak rate of 100Mbps.
Qualcomm names partners for India LTE venture
Qualcomm has named Global Holding and Tulip Telecom as initial shareholders for its India LTE venture. Pending government approval, Qualcomm will have a 74% stake in the venture while the two others will hold 13%.

SK Telecom taps Alcatel-Lucent backhaul solution
Alcatel-Lucent said SK Telecom chose its packet optical transport solutionto upgrade the operator’s nationwide wireless data network. The project is currently being deployed, with the mobile backhaul solution expected to also support WCDMA and future LTE services.
