US-based Slacker unveils a new service that combines elements of Internet radio, portable music and satellite distribution. The startup said the service offers a 'personal radio' that lets users choose the tunes, genres or artists they want, and listen to them on the go.

ZTE reports that it has passed network access tests for its TD-SCDMA equipment with several Chinese carriers. The approved equipment includes core network solutions, wireless network controlling equipment, base stations and business platforms

Motorola signs a deal with Bangalore-based International Institute of Information Technology to develop wireless broadband solutions for emerging markets like India. The two will jointly work in specified fields of science and technology, collaborate in developing cutting-edge innovations and solutions and conduct research programs.
