Research firm Compete reports that consumers aren't willing to pay what Apple may ask for the iPhone, but if the price drops they'll switch their mobile service to AT&T in order to get it. Out of the 26% of respondents who are likely likely to buy an iPhone, only 1% said they'd pay $500 for it.

Micron Technology unveils 1-gigabit mobile DRAM for high-end mobile phones with multimedia and computing features. The company said it will bundle the new mobile DRAM with 1-gigabit, 2-gigabit, and 4-gigabit NAND flash memory in a multi-chip package.

True Move rolls out a service allowing its prepaid mobile phone subscribers to reload call value at 18,000 public phone booths of True Corp in the Bangkok area. The carrier said this scheme service will show that public phones could provide a value-added service.
