China Unicom CEO Chang Xiaobing told the Wall Street Journal that the firm is working with Apple to add Wi-Fi functionality to its iPhones in China. He also said current iPhone owners – whose devices don’t include Wi-Fi due to Chinese government opposition – may be compensated in the form of cheaper 3G rates.
