PT Excelcomindo Pratama Tbk (XL) has contracted Ericsson to expand its 2G and 3G networks.
Under the three-and-a-half-year agreement, Ericsson will supply GSM/GPRS and W-CDMA network and transmission equipment, as well as mobile softswitches. Ericsson said it would be responsible for network deployment and integration and technology consulting. The value of the contract was not disclosed.
