Dialog Axiata has launched the Dialog Enterprise Cloud, a cloud platform for enterprises in Sri Lanka, in a move aimed at strengthening the country’s enterprise cloud industry and digitization efforts.

The Dialog Enterprise Cloud is designed to extend the capabilities of a software defined data center (SDDC) with self-service cloud environment for enterprises.

Launched in partnership with VMWare, the platform is built with high performance infrastructure (built on SSD based all flash) and hosted at Sri Lanka’s first Tier III and ISO 27001:2013 certified data center.

With the Dialog Enterprise Cloud, Sri Lankan enterprises can design their own virtual data center (VDC) and manage their cloud services easily and efficiently, the operator said.

“Organizations now have access to virtualized infrastructure, networking, storage, memory and elements of security, along with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) and Backup as a Service (BaaS) facilities,” Dialog Axiata said in the statement.

“Further, enterprises are provided with multiple connectivity options to the VDC while overall IT overheads and expenditure are reduced.”

In a related news, Internet Initiative Japan (IIJ) said it is adding a new infrastructure site in Hanoi for FPT Telecom's domestic public cloud service, FPT HI GIO CLOUD.

IIJ said the new site is a joint project with Hanoi-based FPT Telecom, a subsidiary of Vietnam's largest IT conglomerate, FPT Group.

The new site complements prior infrastructure in Ho Chi Minh City and create a closed network between the two regions. Services at the new site will be launched at the end of February, 2019.
