Dell has announced plans to offer a second, larger tablet PC, one day after its initial effort reached Asian stores.

At an Oracle event yesterday, founder Michael Dell said the company will develop a seven-inch Android-based tablet, without giving any other details, WSJ.comreported.

But according toElectronista, leaks indicate the device will be more powerful than the Streak, using a dual-core nVidia Tegra 250 processor. It is likely to use Android 2.2, and may include a HD TV tuner or integrations with streaming TV services.

The site added that Dell had been intending to ship the tablet by the end of the year, but this schedule may have been pushed back by delays in launching the Streak.

Dell's first tablet - the five-inch Streak - launched last month and began selling in Hong Kong, its first Asian market, on Tuesday.

The Streak, which doubles as a smartphone, costs HK$5,499 ($709) in Hong Kong. In the US, it is $550 outright and $300 through AT&T with a two-year contract.
