China Telecom Global (CTG) has entered a three-way collaboration with integrated communications services provider Global Switch and Chinese data center infrastructure operator Daily-Tech focused on data center construction and service delivery.
The companies have agreed to collaborate in developing new markets for their data center services, as well as jointly market services and provide one-stop service and system access as well as joint network and systems integration services.
As part of the agreement, CTG and partner Daily-Tech will also be able to make use of Global Switch's data center capacity outside of China.
“We are delighted to enter into this worldwide relationship with two of the data center industry’s leading providers, China Telecom Global CEO Deng Xiaofeng said.
“This pioneering and important agreement will ensure our customers receive quality and secure data center infrastructure, facilities and services as they expand internationally, as well as boosting CTG’s competitiveness in new markets. We are also pleased to be taking another significant step forward in delivering against the objectives of China’s Belt and Road initiative.”
In other data center news, Japan's KDDI announced it has arranged to establish a direct connection between its TELEHOUSE Osaka 2 data center and the Japan Internet Exchange (JPIX).
The companies will provide internet exchange services to users of the facility as a new JPIX Osaka Kyobashi site.
