CNBCannounced that it will now be providing international market analysis and financial news updates in the Mandarin language.
The new channel will be integrated into China Central Television’s (CCTV) Business Channel program, “Global Connection Show.”
The business news updates were previously broadcast in English with Chinese subtitles.
“We are excited about this announcement as it reinforces our commitment to China and our long standing strategy of delivering global business news with local relevance whenever and wherever possible,” said Satpal Brainch, president and managing Director, CNBC in Asia Pacific.
This announcement is one more step forward in the strengthening of the relationship between CNBC and CCTV.
