CDN and internet data center provider ChinaNetCenter has teamed up with Israeli data delivery and network optimization vendor DiViNetworks to offer bandwidth optimization services for Chinese web content.
The two companies will collaborate to offer the DiViCloud complete data delivery network to Chinese language Southeast Asian markets to allow them to save on the costs of connecting with Chinese internet content.
ChinaNetCenter will provide its infrastructure in China, including over 300 PoPs, for the join offering.
DiVi will provide its carrier-grade network de-duplication offering to provide lossless compression, including its network layer optimization solution.
Providers in the region spend over $1 billion per year to purchase over 1Tbps of capacity that originates in China, making it a lucrative potential market, the companies said.
"ChinaNetCenter has deployed DiVi's solutions in our own network since 2014 and we have found that their technology's superiority adds significant value to our capability to deliver content more efficiently while driving down costs,” ChinaNetCenter vice president Chu MinJian said.
“We are excited to offer the value of this solution to leverage our numerous caching solutions and internet infrastructure throughout Southeast Asia to regions like Hong Kong and Macau, Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia, Indonesia and beyond."
