China Telecom names Ke Ruiwen president and COO
China Telecom has appointed Ke Ruiwen (pcitured) as the company’s president and chief operating officer, with effect from October 25, 2018.
He’s also been appointed to the Chinese telco’s board, according to the company’s filings to the Stock Exchange of Hong Kong [pdf].
Ke replaces Liu Aili, who resigned in July due to change in work arrangement.
China Telecom’s board currently includes Yang Jie (chairman and chief executive officer), Ke Ruiwen (president and chief operating officer), Gao Tongqing (executive vice president), Chen Zhongyue (executive vice president), Chen Shengguang (non-executive director), Tse Hau Yin (independent non-executive director), Aloysius (independent non-executive director), Xu Erming (independent non-executive director) and Wang Hsuehming (independent non-executive director).
Nokia appoints Jae Won to head APJ operations
Nokia has appointed Jae Won (pictured) to lead the company’s business in Asia Pacific and Japan, effective October 15.
As the head of Nokia Asia Pacific and Japan, Won will be based out in Singapore and responsible for the Finnish vendor’s networks business and operations in the region spanning the diverse territories of Japan, Korea, Oceania, and the fast growing Southeast Asian countries.
Won has been working with Nokia for over 10 years and was most recently vice president of market development for Nokia Asia Pacific and Japan.
NTT Com names Akira Sei senior manager of managed security service taskforce
NTT Communications has appointed Akira Sei as senior manager of managed security service taskforce and corporate planning.
Sei currently is general director of NTT Communications Russia.
Due to the change, NTT Com has named Jun Fujita to take over the role of general director of NTT Communications Russia from Sei. Fujita is currently senior manager of planning and global business.
Both appointments will take effect from November 1, 2018.
