China Mobile will use the R&S CMW500 wideband radio communication tester from Rohde & Schwarz to perform protocol conformance tests on time-division long-term evolution (TD-LTE) terminal equipment.
The T&M manufacturer prevailed against the competitors in a call for bids. The R&S CMW500 is configured as a protocol tester for the TD-LTE conformance tests performed by China Mobile Group Terminal.
The company was founded in April 2011 by network operator China Mobile Limited to promote the development of third- and fourth-generation mobile radio terminals, focusing on the 3G and 4G TD versions.
The company said the multi-standard platform can do much more, however. For example, the R&S CMW500 can also cover RF or application tests. It is therefore the ideal solution for all phases in the development and production of mobile terminals.
